|
|
Q: Can you give me some
advice as for the shipment of my artworks? |
|
A: (1) Make sure, that your
paintings arrive at the gallery 8 to 2 days before the opening
of your exhibition - NOT EARLIER! |
(2) NOTE! In order to avoid
problems with customs, artworks sent from outside the European
Union must be escorted by Official Invoice and there are
three different ways to import artworks:
|
(a) by ATA Carnet (see: www.atacarnet.com
) |
|
(b) by Temporary Importation
Under Bond (TIB) (read more about: www.atacarnet.com/ata-carnet-info.htm |
|
(c) by customary importation
depenting on the declared value of artworks. We recommend to
declare an as low as possible but credible value of 70-100 Euro
for each artwork. |
|
|
(3) Be sure to set up your
shipment carefully and understand that you take responsibility
for any problems that may occure as to the importation. |
|
Q: Is there any limit regarding
the dimension resp. weight of an exhibit? |
|
A: Yes, please make sure that
your package doesn't exceed a weight of max. 20 kg. Regarding
the dimension, the summary of the longest and the shortest side
of the package shouldn't exceed 120 cms. |
|
Q: Do you want the paintings
to be shipped with or without supporting frames? |
|
A: Paintings just have to
be stretched on supporting frames ready for hanging. |
|
Q: Is there any kind of
special insurance for the artworks in the gallery? |
A: Special insurance for the
artwork is the responsibility of the artist.
The Gallery is secure and professional but is not responsible
for circumstances beyond its control. The Artist accepts responsibility
for
the risks inherently associated with any such exhibition. |
|
Q: After the show, how
do we collect back the artworks? |
|
A: You can make arrangements
with your shipper to pick up artworks or pick them up in person.
Otherwise we will repack unsold artworks in the boxes you shipped
them in and ship them back to you at your cost as stated in the
agreement document. Please understand that artworks have to be
shipped back within at least 8 weeks after the end of the exhibition.
Otherwise we will auction them off in favor of the price money
for the Palm Award. |
|
Q: Please explain about
your refund on sales. |
|
A: For each 1000 Euro of the
commission the gallery nets from selling the artist's artwork,
the gallery will refund the artist 250 Euro of his representation
fee. |
|
Q: Can you tell something
about the average turnover of the gallery. |
|
A: We currently sell about
10% to 15% of the exhibited artworks, in other words 1 of 10
pieces out of each exhibition. |
